A wonderful Stack with musings about writing, music, TV, and beyond. From the writer, Nancy Norbeck: “The Spark” is an offshoot of Follow Your Curiosity where I’ll be sharing writing on whatever topics are currently inspiring me. It could be a new poem, or a photo I’ve taken recently and the story behind it. It could be my thoughts about the latest thing I’ve been watching on TV, or something I observed at a Doctor Who convention.
Ariane is a beautiful writer pulling off the Herculean task of caring for her aging folks while running a business. She's also a parent and a grandparent who somehow manages to tend a gorgeous garden and write excellent and relatable posts with zero spare time. She rocks.
Emily's posts are a delight and always make me laugh. Her insights and observations about sites in Italy and beyond make me feel like I'm getting the benefits of travel without boarding a plane. Highly recommend.
Jenn is a wonderful writer and her Substack is a delight. Each issue is jam-packed with helpful info, entertaining insights, and incredible recommendations for great books to read, shows to watch, podcasts to listen to and more. Highly recommend.
This Stack, which offers tips and tricks for writing letters, invitations, obituaries, recipes and more, has quickly become one of my favorites. A recent issue, dedicated to postcards, inspired me to immediately send out four postcards using Anne’s jazzy tips. It also introduced me to a new word: Deltiology—“an entire discipline focused on collecting and studying postcards.” Who knew?
Stephanie is a fantastic writer and her newsletter, Unpacking is a wonderful read, full of insights and tips for adulting. Highly recommend!
Love Lela's writing voice and posts! You may learn some grammar tips reading her words, but it won't feel like a lesson. Highly recommend. Here's her bio: My name is Lela Moore. Writer, runner, mom, not necessarily in that order. I am a freelance journalist, and I've always been interested in not just the stories words tell when strung together, but the how and why of stringing them together.
Pamela's stack features beautiful photography, art, writing, and inspiring posts. Here's a little bit about her from her About page: I'm a creative writer, a photographer, naturalist, art, music and history lover, who loves to travel. I post Daily Affirmations, Quotes of The Day, and other posts to Inspire and Enlighten. Enjoy!
